The Schaumburg Boomers are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated current college students to be a part of the club’s 2017 season. As a Boomers Accounting Intern, you will receive hands on experience with the Front Office and Food and Beverage accounting procedures. This is a seasonal position which will last the duration of the season.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Keep up with Accounting procedures including contracts, filing, and presentation of reports

• Assist with record keeping

• Assist in data entry, including entering payables and receivables

• Ensure accuracy on pricing of invoices compared to our negotiated prices for the season

• Reconcile all cash and pick up drops pertaining to concession stand inventory sheets

• Assist in setting up cash banks for concession stands

• Lead team for monthly food and beverage inventories

• Assist in making change and cash pick up during games

• Schedule cash room staff according to stadium needs

• Assist in the training of cashiers

• Verify Food and Beverage payroll daily according to time clock in and out logs

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate (preferably junior or senior) or graduate student attending accredited university

• Must be able to earn college credit for internship

• Majoring in Accounting or Sports Management

• Knowledge of Quick Books and Excel a plus

• Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-task work environment

Catering Intern - Schaumburg Boomers (Schaumburg, IL)

SUMMARY:

The Catering Intern will oversee all catering venues at the facility, including several luxury suites and multiple picnic venues.  This person will manage a staff of at least twenty (hourly and volunteers) and will be responsible for the set-up, clean up, and operation of all catering venues.  He/She will also be responsible for communicating with the Director of Food and Beverage about food orders, billing options, and all customer concerns as it pertains to food.

The Catering Intern will report directly to the Director of Food & Beverage.

DUTIES:

·         Schedule, manage, and train a suite service and picnic staff of approximately 20 servers, bartenders, and non-profit groups

·         Communicate with the Director of Food and Beverage on suite serving times and payment options

·         Communicate all food orders to kitchen staff in a timely manner, and complete hot/cold sheets for every event

·         Work with the Director of Food & Beverage on all wine and liquor orders and any other food service needs

·         Use a “hands on” approach to management

·         Monitor and meet all health codes and liquor control laws

·         Maintain open lines of communication with suite servers and Culinary Intern regarding event needs, special circumstances and any other potential issues that may arise

·         Establish proper inventory par levels and monitor those levels on a daily basis

·         Responsible for the overall sanitation of all catering venues, as well as setup and breakdown of suite and picnic locations

·         Act as a key director of suite and picnic food delivery—instructing who, what, where…

·         Responsible for ensuring each picnic serving line runs in a smooth and timely manner, as well as ensuring the venue opens/closes on time

·         Evaluate the work by non-profit groups on a nightly basis

·         Responsible for the updating and processing suite level food bills on a nightly basis

·         Oversee the cleanup and closing of suite pantry, suites, and bars on a nightly basis.  This includes cashing out any unsettled bar or suite tab

·         Responsible for running any end of event catering financial reports

·         Assist the food service department with the counting of inventory, receiving of product, and the distribution of product to the appropriate locations

·         Assist in security measures in regards to food service

·         Attending weekly foodservice/sales department meetings to discuss and prepare for upcoming events

DUTIES:

SUMMARY:
The Food and Beverage Intern is responsible for all food service product ordering and receiving, as well as the tight security and organization of all product inventories at the facility.  This person will direct a part-time warehouse crew for game day product distribution and controls.  
They are directly responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels for all paper, beverage, and food products for the concessions operation.

The Food and Beverage Intern will report directly to the Director of Food & Beverage.

DUTIES:
•    Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise part-time warehouse staff
•    Responsible for placing all food service product purchases, including beverage, paper, cleaning supplies, and food products
•    Maintain detailed and accurate purchase orders and invoices and forward to Business Manager on a daily basis
•    Keep tight inventory controls on all concessions paper products and food and beverage products.  This includes compiling monthly inventory and stock level reports
•    Work closely with the Director of Food and Beverage on product needs and distribution levels for all portables and concession stands
•    Maintain proper security controls at all times at all storage locations
•    Coordinate product delivery schedule with Director of Food and Beverage, Culinary Intern, and Catering Intern
•    Verify product ordered vs. received on all orders and communicate with all vendors regarding any discrepancies
•    Coordinate product distribution with entire department including maintaining proper levels of thawed product at each location
•    Assist Director of Food and Beverage with all stocking of concession stands and portables
•    Event management of warehouse operations.  Includes maintaining proper levels of staff, proper security controls, delivering product to locations in a timely fashion and keeping accurate inventory distribution records
•    Responsible for organization of warehouse equipment and maintenance
•    Manage post-season inventory reduction and storage
•    Assist with overall operation of Food Service Department as directed

SUMMARY:


The Kitchen Manager is directly responsible for the food production for the entire catering operation at the facility.  The catering operation consists of luxury suites with a full-service menu, as well as catering to groups of varying sizes.  This position will be expected to direct a kitchen staff of 5-10 people to accomplish responsibilities.  This position will require someone with cooking and management skills to be able to provide food for all catering venues within a short period of time.  This will also require someone with excellent time management and organizational skills.  

This position will be required to work a varied schedule that will include evenings, nights, and weekends.  The Kitchen Manager reports directly to the Director of Food and Beverage.

DUTIES:

Qualifications:
