Florence Freedom Head Mascot - Florence Freedom Professional Baseball (Florence, KY)

The Florence Freedom are now hiring for a seasonal mascot who will represent the club at all home games and at community appearances. The Freedom have a brand new mascot introduced in 2016 that is lightweight, fun, energetic and embodies the Florence landmark of the Water Tower. His name is Y'All-Star and he is sensational baseball star and exhudes confidence! He's also known as the Tower of Power.!

Applicants should possess skills/qualities such as being outgoing and charismatic. Prior experience working as a mascot or dance team member/cheerleader is preferred.

The position requires the individual to be at all home games and comfortable working in a mascot suit during summer hours. Multiple breaks and recovery time during games is permitted.

This position is an hourly and paid based on experience and talent level. This position is available immediately with the opportunity for work/appearances that extend into the offseason.

Job Description:

Aggressively search for revenue generating avenues through cold calling, face to face meetings and email correspondence with business, nonprofit groups and individuals.  Ideal candidate must be comfortable with all aspects of the selling process and demonstrate efficiency while working the phones.  Sales experience in the sports industry is strongly preferred, ideal candidate will have primary focus on ticket revenue.

Qualifications:

·         Candidate should have at least 1 years of experience via call focused internship, inside sales program or full time work within the sports industry.

·         Willingness and understanding to complete 60 calls daily.

·         Must be willing to invest the time needed for success in this industry.

·         Acknowledgment of unique hours, especially during “busy months”.

·         Customer Service focused at all times.

·         Ability to brainstorm creative, new ideas to drive revenue.

·         Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be a team player.

COMPENSATION:


Full Time Salary Position - Based on experience. Generous Commision structure

Game Day Duties: Assist with all event needs, focus on ticket initiatives however must be quick thinking and have ability to solve problems.  Other game day duties as needed.

Public Relations Intern - Normal CornBelters (Normal, IL)

Marketing/Public Relations Internship

The Normal CornBelters are looking for highly motivated individuals to contribute to the marketing of The Corn Crib, as well as being exposed to the overall operations of a professional sports organization.

This is an unpaid position, and the individuals selected must require an internship for college credit.  As a member of the CornBelters Marketing/PR Staff, this individual will primarily focus on the areas of game promotions, social media campaigns, Kids Club, Corny’s Summer Reading Program and Birthday packages.  This position is rotating, giving all candidates the ability to experience every aspect of the Normal CornBelters during office hours and game nights.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

o    Social Media Campaigning: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap Chat.

o    Game Promotions

o    Street Team Marketing

o    Information Table on game days

Ticket Sales Representative (Internship) - Normal CornBelters (Normal, IL)

Department: Ticket Sales

Report To: Ticket Sales Manager

The Normal CornBelters are seeking individuals who are highly motivated, hard working and want to build a foundation in the sports industry. The overall goal is to assist in the ticket sales effort, learn the ticketing system, as well as being exposed to customer service, a vital aspect of all professional sports organizations.

This is an unpaid position, and the individual selected must require an internship for college credit, however, individuals who show great work ethic and can generate sales, have a greater chance of being hired immediatly.  As a member of the CornBelters Ticket Sales Department, this individual will primarily focus on the sale and service of all ticket packages (including full season seats, partial season seats, various group outings, and individual ticket orders) via telephone, in person meetings and through grassroots efforts (non-appointment meetings, inproptu "run-ins'). Individuals will not be limited in performing other duties as assigned. All representative will earn 10% on all new business acquired.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

♦Providing unwavering customer service to clients
♦Serving as a liaison between organization and ticket purchasers
♦Assisting with numerous out of season sales events
♦Developing, and utilizing, a solid knowledge of the sales process (including cold calls)
♦Maintaining customer database and facilitating communication of marketing efforts

Director of Sponsorship Sales - Washington Wild Things (Washington, PA)

The Washington (PA) Wild Things professional baseball club of the Independent Frontier League is seeking a Director of Sales to oversee the sales directives for sponsorship and ticket sales of the team.  The position will supervise the sales efforts for the team and events at Wild Things Park including but not limited to a 50-game home baseball schedule for the Wild Things that runs from mid-May through Labor Day, a twenty game college baseball schedule in March and April, as well as a  high school schedule plus the WPIAL finals and state playoffs. Other baseball events, concerts, festivals, and parties are also conducted at the facility. Combined attendance at Wild Things Park exceeds 350,000 people annually. This position will utilize and create sales tools while developing relationships to increase and generate revenues for the team and the facility. The position is a sales position that will also manage all aspects of sales activities for the team including tracking and placing inventory and creating and maintaining detailed sales reports for organization. Reports to team General Manager.

Job Summary:

  • Actively promote sponsorship sales for the Washington Wild Things and its continued growth throughout western PA, West Virginia, and eastern Ohio.
  • Design and create sponsorship packages that drive excitement, attendance, revenue while enhancing the in-stadium atmosphere at Wild Things Park.
  • Increase sponsorship sales efforts/revenues on a local and national level while increasing sponsorship properties in-stadium and media properties (radio, TV, Web based).

Goals:

  • Develop and execute sponsorship sales business plan and marketing strategy.
  • Develop and execute ticket sales business plan and marketing strategy.
  • Create strategic and innovative programs to increase sponsorship and ticket sales.
  • Develop a management plan and style to motivate and create a cohesive sales department utilizing sales tools, manuals, and incentive programs directed at attaining goals and increasing sales. Responsibilities:
  • Execute the goals established for department in team/organization business plan.
  • Oversee daily sponsorship sales operations of Washington Wild Things.
  • Develop and implement monthly and year-to-date qualitative and quantitative reports tracking sponsorship sales.
  • Create and implement qualified sales leads and new business development programs.
  • Direct sponsorship sales programs including but not limited to in-stadium and media in addition to creating new programs and properties to reach sponsorship sales goal of $2.2 million annually.
  • Maintain a client database for sponsorship sales with the personal goal to exceed $250,000 in annual sales.
  • Candidate will also be encouraged to visit other teams and facilities to study their inventory, promotions, and events.
  • Join and become involved in local civic groups and associations.
  • Make continuous sales calls and attend industry trade-shows throughout the year.
