Director of Fulfillment & Merchandise - Evansville Otters (Evansville, IN)

The Evansville Otters are seeking an experienced person to serve as their Director of Fulfillment and Merchandise.  This role is responsible for working with the sales team and the client to ensure that all elements of contracts are successfully executed.  The role will also be responsible for ordering product for the souvenir store.  

Duties include, but are not limited to:

·         Order and inventory gift shop

·         Oversee merchandise intern’s day-to-day management of gift shop

·         Work with the sales staff to ensure that all elements of advertising packages are fulfilled

·         Serve as the main contact with all group leaders to verify their menu, coordinate ticket delivery, and address any questions

·         Process all advance ticket and souvenir orders

·         Prepare all season tickets for sales reps to deliver

·         Schedule player and/or mascot appearances

·         Attend player and/or mascot appearances, and schedule an Otter staff member to attend if not available

·         Oversee the donation requests in conjunction with the Director of Group Sales

·         Oversee the Otters’ Reading Club

·         Oversee the Otters’ Attendance Awards program

This role will be assigned an intern during the season to assist with execution.  

The position reports to the Vice President of Sales.  The target start date is February 1, 2017.

Box Office Internship- Summer 2017 - Joliet Slammers (Joliet, IL)

Job Duties:              

Reconcile and maintain all financial reports (daily, monthly, etc...) with the ticket office

Hire, train, and schedule box office interns

Sell season tickets, group tickets, and suites to customers via outbound phone calls, face-to-face appointments, game day marketing, off-site networking events, and incoming inquiries

Ensuring repeat business by providing superior customer service to clients

Manage the box office on game day

Manage the cash control and box office reconciliation

Assists in preparation of commission reports for staff

Manage customer database and develop strategies to collect additional information

Responsible for the fulfillment of season, group, and individual ticket requests

Assist in the implementation and creation of ticketing promotions-on sale and ticket pick up dates

Support sales team with reports and database maintenance

Keep detailed attendance records

Manage all online tickets sales

Research issues concerning customer accounts, ticket printing, internet and online purchases

Coordinate season ticket and individual ticket stock ordering and printing, which includes setting up a time line with the printing company while taking into account numerous season ticket plans, sponsors, and trade accounts

Provide customer service on ticketing questions from individual, seasonal, group and corporate customers

Prepare all events and account renewals year over year and generate all invoices

Utilize Glitnir Ticketing

Possess a team oriented attitude, relationship building and professional demeanor 

Demonstrated work ethic with an innate sense of urgency

Provide unsurpassed external and internal customer service year round

Follow direction of General Manager for any additional duties

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Salary commensurate with experience

Proficient in using Glitnir, Microsoft Excel and Word.

One year experience in Glitnir ticketing system

Well-organized, self-motivated, energetic and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Ability to work with all levels of staff and departments within the organization

Previous management experience preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Professional image and demeanor

Able to work varying schedules, interview and hire ticket office assistants, available to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Mascot Performer- Summer 2017 - Joliet Slammers (Joliet, IL)

Do you like to show off your crazy good dance moves? Are you outgoing? Would you like to take on the persona of a lovable dog or mischievous bird? The Joliet Slammers are looking for two very energetic individuals to become Spikes & J.L. Bird.

Candidates must be able to work flexible hours, as they will be making community appearances as well as the opportunity to perform Slammers games in the Summer of 2017.


The individual will become an ambassador for the team at the stadium and throughout the community. Each individual must be comfortable dancing, interacting with fans of all ages, participating in on field skits and more, while in the mascot suit for hours at a time.

- Being in the mascot suit for all Slammers off-season events

Marketing/Public Relations Internship

The Normal CornBelters are looking for highly motivated individuals to contribute to the marketing of The Corn Crib, as well as being exposed to the overall operations of a professional sports organization.

This is an unpaid position, and the individuals selected must require an internship for college credit.  As a member of the CornBelters Marketing/PR Staff, this individual will primarily focus on the areas of game promotions, social media campaigns, Kids Club, Corny’s Summer Reading Program and Birthday packages.  This position is rotating, giving all candidates the ability to experience every aspect of the Normal CornBelters during office hours and game nights.

Ticket Sales Representative (Internship) - Normal CornBelters (Normal, IL)

Report To: Ticket Sales Manager

The Normal CornBelters are seeking individuals who are highly motivated, hard working and want to build a foundation in the sports industry. The overall goal is to assist in the ticket sales effort, learn the ticketing system, as well as being exposed to customer service, a vital aspect of all professional sports organizations.

This is an unpaid position, and the individual selected must require an internship for college credit, however, individuals who show great work ethic and can generate sales, have a greater chance of being hired immediatly.  As a member of the CornBelters Ticket Sales Department, this individual will primarily focus on the sale and service of all ticket packages (including full season seats, partial season seats, various group outings, and individual ticket orders) via telephone, in person meetings and through grassroots efforts (non-appointment meetings, inproptu "run-ins'). Individuals will not be limited in performing other duties as assigned. All representative will earn 10% on all new business acquired.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

♦Providing unwavering customer service to clients
♦Serving as a liaison between organization and ticket purchasers
♦Assisting with numerous out of season sales events
♦Developing, and utilizing, a solid knowledge of the sales process (including cold calls)

The VP of Ticket Sales will be responsible for the generation and development of ticket revenue. Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for generating and developing new business through lead lists, cold calls, networking events, speaking engagements, etc.
  • Responsible for servicing sales accounts with unsurpassed customer service.

  • Full time salary position. Pay scale based on experience
  • Commission/bonus based on new sales, sales goals and renewals
  • Health insurance (50/50)
