Florence Freedom Head Mascot - Florence Freedom Professional Baseball (Florence, KY)

The Florence Freedom are now hiring for a seasonal mascot who will represent the club at all home games and at community appearances. The Freedom have a brand new mascot introduced in 2016 that is lightweight, fun, energetic and embodies the Florence landmark of the Water Tower. His name is Y'All-Star and he is sensational baseball star and exhudes confidence! He's also known as the Tower of Power.!

Applicants should possess skills/qualities such as being outgoing and charismatic. Prior experience working as a mascot or dance team member/cheerleader is preferred.

The position requires the individual to be at all home games and comfortable working in a mascot suit during summer hours. Multiple breaks and recovery time during games is permitted.

This position is an hourly and paid based on experience and talent level. This position is available immediately with the opportunity for work/appearances that extend into the offseason.

Job Description:

Aggressively search for revenue generating avenues through cold calling, face to face meetings and email correspondence with business, nonprofit groups and individuals.  Ideal candidate must be comfortable with all aspects of the selling process and demonstrate efficiency while working the phones.  Sales experience in the sports industry is strongly preferred, ideal candidate will have primary focus on ticket revenue.

Qualifications:

·         Candidate should have at least 1 years of experience via call focused internship, inside sales program or full time work within the sports industry.

·         Willingness and understanding to complete 60 calls daily.

·         Must be willing to invest the time needed for success in this industry.

·         Acknowledgment of unique hours, especially during “busy months”.

·         Customer Service focused at all times.

·         Ability to brainstorm creative, new ideas to drive revenue.

·         Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be a team player.

COMPENSATION:


Full Time Salary Position - Based on experience. Generous Commision structure

Game Day Duties: Assist with all event needs, focus on ticket initiatives however must be quick thinking and have ability to solve problems.  Other game day duties as needed.

Part Time Mascot Job Description:

-      The Lake Erie Crushers are looking for a skilled, outgoing, and jubilant performer to serve as a part-time mascot for the 2018 season. This individual must have availability and flexibility to perform as "Stomper Bear", at local schools, festivals and events, and for games as needed, beginning immediately. The mascot will serve an essential, highly visible role in representing the Crushers throughout our local community. We are looking for reliable, focused, and driven individuals to fill this role on our team.

Qualifications:

-      Active and energetic, with a positive attitude.

-      Needs to be a quick-thinker: Must be able to follow direction and improvise when necessary.

-      Required to be on your feet and moving for an extended period of time, meaning that you must be in adequate physical condition.

-      Able to interact comfortably and naturally with fans of all ages.

-      An outgoing personality inside the suit.

-      Must be able to perform in different weather conditions (hot & cold temperatures, windy, etc.)

-      Must be available for Monday through Friday during school hours as well as evening and weekend community events.

-      Must be available for all game days including those on weekends, holidays, and during the early afternoon games (11:05am, 12:35pm games). 

Compensation

-      Position pays $10 per hour on game days and community appearances. The position is not full-time.

Director of Ticket Sales - Lake Erie Crushers (Avon, OH)

SUMMARY

The Lake Erie Crushers, an Independent professional baseball team that operates within the Frontier League, is looking to add to its talented roster to help build the Lake Erie Crushers into Northern Ohio’s most recognizable minor league sports franchises.

The full-time position of Director of Ticket Sales is responsible for the sale and service of effective marketing and hospitality solutions for area business and residents. This individual has the opportunity to help build a department into one of the best in all of minor league sports.

The Crushers are seeking a proven, hardworking professional looking to take the next step in his or her sales career in the sports industry. The Director of Ticket Sales will be responsible for the generation and development of ticket revenue. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with experience selling tickets and a proven track record of developing mutually beneficial and customizable ticket packages for both the team and client. Creativity, excellent writing and presentation skills and the highest level of ethical standards are required.

JOB DUTIES

  • Generate revenue through the identification and closing of tickets sales for the Lake Erie Crushers.
  • Oversee and grow the Crushers ticket sales efforts as it pertains to corporate and group hospitality (suites, party areas, short season packages and season tickets).
  • Maintain and manage database of ticketing clients and prospects.
  • Train, manage and hire a sales staff.
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly and yearly sales goals.
  • Participate as a member of the Crushers mid-management team.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to Crushers fans.
  • Represent team at numerous community events throughout the year and actively assist in grass roots marketing efforts to build fan base.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (recommended) in business, sports management, marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of successful sales management.
  • Strategic approach to individual and team goals, both short-term and long-term.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and writing skills – must be able to craft a professional written and oral proposal.
  • Strong sense of professionalism and friendly in-person and on-phone demeanor.
  • The desire to embrace a team-first mentality in a startup environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and professional appearance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Glitner Ticketing preferred.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment while juggling many tasks at once. Excellent time management is required.

This position will be an essential part of the game day staff and work hand in hand with the Director of Creative Services to create a fun, family atmosphere at  Boomers Stadium

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide a memorable experience to Boomers fans by interacting, participating in on-field events, appearing in parades, and attending all Boomers Home Games.

Summary

The Normal CornBelters Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, are seeking Sales Interns for the 2017-2018 season. Roles will be assigned based on the individual's experience and ability following an interview process to determine the best fit within the organization.

2017-2018 Internship Roles

  • Group Sales - Assist with the prospecting, planning, and execution of group nights.

  • Corporate Sales - Develop new business opportunities with an emphasis on corporate and business sector prospects.

  • Sponsorship Support - Assist in the execution of corporate partnership contracts.

  • Box Office (Spring/Summer 2018) - Provide support within the CornBelters Box Office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide reporting information by maintaining and being able to produce on a regular basis accurate reports of call volume, sales and account maintenance.

  • Assist with the planning and execution of season and corporate ticket holder events, benefits, information sessions, renewal campaigns, and call campaigns.

  • Participate as a team member through meetings and offer support to other team members to maximize customer service, retention efforts, and sales performance.

  • Oversee execution of the client amenities and services to optimize client experience, satisfaction, maximize sales profitability and enhance retention efforts.

  • Interact with other Normal CornBelters departments to provide a cooperative, client-oriented focus for all ticket related operations.

  • Identify sales opportunities through networking and outreach within the local market.

Competencies and Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills and proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

  • Self-starter who is motivated to build new programs and exceed expectations.

  • Strong customer service skills that showcase a positive and enthusiastic approach to customers so as to convey a positive image and respond to clients in a timely manner.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, detail oriented, strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Night and weekend work required, including working special events.

Compensation

  • This is an unpaid position. Internships are eligible for college credit, as well as future placement in part-time and full-time positions with the CornBelters.
