Florence Freedom 2017 August/September Internship - Florence Freedom (Florence, KY)

The Florence Freedom Professional Baseball Club is now looking for game day interns for the months of August and September.  The roles for interns will vary based on experience and ability, but will be centered around evening hours when the team is home.  Currently, the Freedom boast the league's best record and are poised for a playoff run.  College students are encouraged to be a part of a winning club and learn game event management for the final two months of the season.

Roles include:

1. In-Stadium sales & promotions

2. Box Office Assistants

3. Birthday Sales Coordinator

4. Stadium Operations

Interns can expect to gain experience in all of the above positions responsibilities, reporting mid to late afternoon on Freedom game nights and working through the end of the game.  This is an unpaid internship eligible for college credit.  Paid positions may be obtained through promotion while at the internship.

Start date - August 4 (can be flexible if needed)

End date - September 3

Ideal fit for a college student attending classes in the Greater Cincinnati area.  Internships eligible to quality for future positions with the Freedom, as well as college credit.  Please only apply if you are able to attend the majority, if not all, Freedom home games in the month of August & September (see schedule here)

Ticket Sales Intern - Fall 2017 - River City Rascals (O'Fallon, MO)

The River City Rascals Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, are currently seeking Ticket Sales Interns for the 2017 season. This position will run from August through December and will be an integral part of the Rascals ticket sales department during the 2017 season.  This position will give the candidate an opportunity to gain valuable experience in professional sports and to garner more responsibility than the normal internship.

Responsibilities 

·         Administer superior customer service through the box office windows and phone lines.

·         Assist ticket sales staff members with sales responsibilities including sales calls, processing ticket
          orders, coordinating group events and birthdays.

·         Utilize TicketReturn and other resources in the creation of lead lists for new business prospecting.

·         Gain experience in making sales calls from generated lead lists.

·         Help to create and maintain a ticket sales database.

·         Represent the Rascals organization during community appearances and extra events at the stadium,
          including performing as the mascot.

·         Assist with Kids Club/Senior Sluggers/Reading programs for the 2017 season.

·         Take lead on a Rascals promotional theme night and assist with creatively developing new ways to
          boost attendance.

·         Manage a box office window during games and office hours.

·         Balance nightly game day ticket revenue.

·         Assist with all aspects of the Rascals overall season preparation and execution as needed.


Qualifications

·         Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.

·         Strong verbal and written communications skills.

·         Excellent math skills

·         Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks.

·         Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

·         Knowledge of basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

·         Must be able to problem solve quickly, work efficiently in an intense environment.

·         Must be willing and able lift items up to 50 lbs. for set up and take down of games and events.

·         Flexibility to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

·         Must be able to work all home games during the 2017 season.

This is an unpaid internship position with the ability to earn school credit.  Fall hours would be 25/week + all Rascals home games.

Marketing/Communications Intern (Fall 2017) - River City Rascals (O'Fallon, MO)

Description:         

The River City Rascals Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, are seeking enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to serve as Rascals Marketing/Communications Interns from August to December. Marketing/Communications Interns are responsible for representing the Rascals in a positive way at community appearances and during games in order to increase brand awareness. In addition, they will be involved with grassroots marketing initiatives to promote and recruit fans to attend River City Rascals games. Successful candidates will gain sales and marketing experience serving as the voice of the team at their respective event(s).

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the planning and execution of promotional theme nights, community programs and other events held at CarShield Field.

• Attend community events (including set up and tear down of display booths), hand out promotional materials, data collection, and escort mascot at appearances.

• Promote River City Rascals ticket packages by displaying and distributing marketing materials.

• Engage fans during games through t-shirt toss, Kids Club activity area, and on-field promotions.

• Attend weekly check in meeting with Director of Fan Engagement.

• Other duties as assigned.

 
Qualifications:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a clean driving record.

• Must be outgoing with a positive attitude.

• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

• Passionate about the River City Rascals and the sport of baseball.

• Responsible, dependable, creative, and has the ability to work independently.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Experience with social media channels preferred (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat)

• Marketing/promotions/sales experience is a plus.

Stadium Operations Intern Fall 2017 - River City Rascals (O'Fallon, MO)

The River City Rascals Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, is currently in search of Stadium Operations Interns for the 2017 season. The positions available will give candidates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in professional sports through our challenging and rewarding internship program.

Stadium Operations interns will work directly with the Director of Stadium Operations.

Responsibilities:
• Creating and maintaining a clean, safe and fun ballpark for all fans
• Assisting in inventory controls and purchasing to ensure that the facility is adequately stocked for all events
• Assisting in all facets of preventative maintenance for the ballpark
• Additional duties assigned by Director of Stadium Operations
• Insuring that facility is prepared to accommodate group outings each night
• Be available for community appearances

The Schaumburg Boomers are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated candidates to assist on gamedays. As a gameday intern you will be providing a valuable asset to the team. You will assist with on-field promotions, ticket sales, merchandise sales, and more. Gameday interns will be expected to work Boomers home games in August & potential playoff games in September.

The Schaumburg Boomers are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated candidates to fill the 2018 internship class. As an intern with the Schaumburg Boomers, you will be able to assist in the day to day operations of a minor league baseball team front office. You will get the opportunity to learn in all aspects of sports business, as well as play a key role in the success of the team. General time frame of internship (May 1, 2018 - September 15th, 2018)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring cleanliness in the ballpark

2017 Summer / Fall Internships - Windy City ThunderBolts (Crestwood, IL)

The Windy City ThunderBolts Professional Baseball Team have internship openings for the remainder of the 2017 season.

Interns will be expected to report to work in early July, 2017 and work through the conclusion of the home season.  

Evening and weekend work will be required. All interns must have local housing available for the duration of the internship.

The following summer internships are available:

Group Sales
· Serve as liaison between the team and fans wishing to purchase tickets
· Customer service responsibilities during and following games
· Making group sales calls on behalf of the team
· Other office and ballpark support duties as necessary
