Corporate Partnerships Intern - Normal CornBelters Professional Baseball (Normal, IL)

 Effective Dates: ASAP – December 7, 2015 (Fall Semester)

The Normal CornBelters are searching for someone who is highly motivated, personable and organized to contribute to the overall customer service and day to day operations of a professional sports organization.


This is a part time, unpaid position and the person selected must complete it for college credit. As a member of the Corporate Partnerships Department, this individual will primarily focus on the acquiring new corporate accounts. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Serving as a representative of the organization to our corporate partners
• Securing contract components such as artwork, advertisements, etc.
• Spearheading different sponsored programs at the ballpark
• Building and maintaining relationships with new & current clients
• Assisting in the development of CornBelters outbound marketing
• Participating in sales and community events
Completed sales, marketing or communication classes are preferred. Proficiency of basic computer applications is a necessity. Knowledge of Adobe Design products is helpful.

Housing and transportation will not be provided by the organization.

Ticket Sales Assistant Internship - Fall 2015 - Normal CornBelters Professional Baseball (Normal, IL)

Internship Dates: ASAP – Friday, December 7, 2015 (Fall semester)

The Normal CornBelters are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to contribute to the overall ticket sales effort of a professional sports organization.

This is a full-time internship position paid a monthly stipend plus commission.  The individual selected must require an internship for college credit.  As a member of the CornBelters Ticket Sales Department, this individual will primarily focus on the sale of all CornBelters ticket packages (including full season tickets, mini plans, and various group outings) via telephone and appointment.  This individual will also perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Developing and utilizing a solid knowledge of the sales process (including cold calls)

* Providing unwavering customer service to clients

* Maintaining customer sales database

* Working hand-in-hand with interns and staff on stadium operations before, during, and after games

* Participating in community outreach programs and appearances

Completed sales, marketing, and/or communications courses are preferred.  Housing and transportation will not be provided by the organization.

Stadium Operations Intern Fall 2015 - River City Rascals (O'Fallon, MO)

The River City Rascals Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, is currently in search of Stadium Operations Interns for the 2015 season. The positions available will give candidates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in professional sports through our challenging and rewarding internship program.

Stadium Operations interns will work directly with the Director of Stadium Operations.

Responsibilities:
• Creating and maintaining a clean, safe and fun ballpark for all fans
• Assisting in inventory controls and purchasing to ensure that the facility is adequately stocked for all events
• Assisting in all facets of preventative maintenance for the ballpark
• Additional duties assigned by Director of Stadium Operations
• Insuring that facility is prepared to accommodate group outings each night
• Be available for community appearances

Qualifications:
• Must be able to problem solve quickly, work efficiently in an intense environment
• Some heavy lifting is requited
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented
• Flexibility to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
