Corporate Partnerships Assistant - Florence Freedom (Florence, KY)

The Florence Freedom of the Frontier League are looking to hire a Corporate Partnerships Assistant for the Fall / Winter of 2017.  

This is an internship designed to fit into a college students schedule on a MWF or TTh basis. Hours ideally would be 10am - 4pm on days worked inside the office.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

1. Ideation and creation of corporate partnership proposals

2. Creation of POPs (Proof of Performance) Reviews for exsisting corporate clients

3. Attending corporate partnership meetings with the VP/General Manager & the Director of Corporate Partnerships.

4. Logging corporate clients into a CRM tool online

Candidate will work directly with the VP/General Manager, but given a computer/work station and is eligible for college credit. This is an unpaid internship for the fall semester.

Ideal start time for the candidate is the week of Monday, October 23 and run through the week of December 11, ending on December 15.

Hours and start time/end time can be flexible for the right candidate. The office will be closed the week of November 20 and reopen November 27.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: A previous internship with a professional or college sports team is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, especially Powerpoint & Word. Experience with Adobe Photoship and/or InDesign a plus.

Spring 2018 Internship - Lake Erie Crushers (Avon, OH)

The Lake Erie Crushers, located in Avon, OH, are looking for interns during the spring semester, January to May 2018. As a Lake Erie Crushers intern you will have the opportunity to experience and partake in all aspects of how a professional baseball team operates. Interns can gather practical work experience in all aspects of professional sports including, but not limited to:

Marketing / Promotions
Stadium Operations
Ticketing
Corporate Client Management
Financial Management
Special Projects

Responsibilities:

  •  Work with Front Office staff to plan and prepare for 2018 Frontier League season and other stadium events.
  • Help plan and promote promotional / theme nights for 2018 season
  • Work community & mascot appearances with marketing staff
  • Assist with: Public Relations, Community Development, Media Relations, and various other office needs
  • Work all aspects of ticketing process from sales support to box office operations
  • Work with Stadium Operations staff to prepare ballpark for 2018 season and other in-stadium events
  • Work with corporate client development program

Qualifications:

  •  Currently attending, an accredited university. (All majors welcomed)
  • Passion to work in the sports industry
  • Ability to think outside the box, and bring new ideas to the table
  • Maintain a professional demeanor during high pressure situations
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

This is an unpaid internship, and no housing is provided. College credit can be awarded for completion of this internship.

Stadium Operations Intern Spring 2018 - River City Rascals (O'Fallon, MO)

The River City Rascals Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, is currently in search of Stadium Operations Interns for the 2018 season. The positions available will give candidates an opportunity to gain valuable experience in professional sports through our challenging and rewarding internship program.

Stadium Operations interns will work directly with the Director of Stadium Operations.

Responsibilities:
• Creating and maintaining a clean, safe and fun ballpark for all fans
• Assisting in inventory controls and purchasing to ensure that the facility is adequately stocked for all events
• Assisting in all facets of preventative maintenance for the ballpark
• Additional duties assigned by Director of Stadium Operations
• Insuring that facility is prepared to accommodate group outings each night
• Be available for community appearances

Qualifications:
• Must be able to problem solve quickly, work efficiently in an intense environment
• Some heavy lifting is requited
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented

Gameday Intern (August & September) 2017 - Schaumburg Boomers (Schaumburg, IL)

The Schaumburg Boomers are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated candidates to assist on gamedays. As a gameday intern you will be providing a valuable asset to the team. You will assist with on-field promotions, ticket sales, merchandise sales, and more. Gameday interns will be expected to work Boomers home games in August & potential playoff games in September.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Fullfilling customer questions via phone or in person

• Assist with record keeping

• Ensuring cleanliness in the ballpark

Public Relations & Communications: Manage day to day duties to connect our organization with the local public and media outlets via press releases and feature stories.
Digital & Social Media: Assist with the creation, management, and execution of social media and newsletter campaigns.

Duties and Responsibilities
-Ability to write and present business proposals to prospective clients.
-Assess and research market competition in order to develop accurate and influential marketing plans.
-Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities including content development and management.
-Ensure an effective and professional image to customers and present an accurate portrayal of business strategies across all social media platforms.
-Analyze the effectiveness of online campaigns by collecting data and producing reports.
-Identify sales opportunities through networking and outreach within the local market.

Competencies and Qualifications
-Excellent organizational skills and a self-starter with a creative mind.
-Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).

Summary
The Normal CornBelters Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, are seeking Graphic Design Interns for the 2017-2018 season. Roles will be assigned based on the individual's experience and ability following an interview process to determine the best fit within the organization.

2017-2018 Internship Roles


Graphic Design: Assist in the creation of digital and print collateral in support of the organization's marketing and communications plans.
Video Production: Produce informational and advertising related spots in conjunction with team marketing campaigns.
Photography: Develop your personal portfolio by taking photos at games, team and community events to be used within team marketing plans.

Duties and Responsibilities
-Assist in the execution of print material.
-Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts.
-Create visual aspects of marketing materials, websites and other media, including infographics.

Competencies and Qualifications
-Comfortable working in wide range of media utilizing Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and video editing software.
-Demonstrable graphic design skills with a portfolio showcasing graphic design experience.
-Self-starter who is motivated to build new programs and exceed expectations with excellent communication skills.
-Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop etc).
