Corporate Partnerships Assistant - Florence Freedom (Florence, KY)

The Florence Freedom of the Frontier League are looking to hire a Corporate Partnerships Assistant for the Fall / Winter of 2017.  

This is an internship designed to fit into a college students schedule on a MWF or TTh basis. Hours ideally would be 10am - 4pm on days worked inside the office.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

1. Ideation and creation of corporate partnership proposals

2. Creation of POPs (Proof of Performance) Reviews for exsisting corporate clients

3. Attending corporate partnership meetings with the VP/General Manager & the Director of Corporate Partnerships.

4. Logging corporate clients into a CRM tool online

Candidate will work directly with the VP/General Manager, but given a computer/work station and is eligible for college credit. This is an unpaid internship for the fall semester.

Ideal start time for the candidate would be the month of November and run through the week of December 11, ending on December 15.

Hours and start time/end time can be flexible for the right candidate. The office will be closed the week of November 20 and reopen November 27.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: A previous internship with a professional or college sports team is a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, especially Powerpoint & Word. Experience with Adobe Photoship and/or InDesign a plus.

The Lake Erie Crushers, an independent league professional baseball team located in Avon, OH, are seeking a Web & Graphic Design intern to design its’ flyers and promotional materials leading into the 2018 baseball season, as well as work on the team's website. This is a great opportunity to build your portfolio, on your own schedule, with real-world applications. The internship runs from January to April 2018. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create Posters/Flyers for:
    • Ticketing Materials: Groups, fundraisers, etc.
    • Crushers Events
    • Game Day Program
    • Pocket Schedule
    • Additional Projects as assigned
  • Assist with large signage projects around the stadium 
  • Update the team website on a daily basis
  • Create mailers for Crushers events and group outings
  • Create staff name badges and VIP passes
  • Opportunity to expand into other areas (Merchandise, ect)

Qualifications:

Lead Broadcaster Internship - Summer 2018 - River City Rascals (O'Fallon, MO)

The River City Rascals Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, are currently in search of a Lead Broadcaster for the 2018 season. This position will serve as the lead (and sole) broadcaster for all Rascals games during the regular and postseason. Position will take on all the responsibilities of a lead broadcaster, including providing equipment and learning how to operate the online format, as well as communicating with our radio partner on all setup and issues throughout the season. Broadcaster is required to be with the team for all 96 regular season games, as well as any postseason games. Applicants must be available to start by May 1, 2018 and potentially work through September 20, 2018.

Responsibilities:

- Broadcast all regular season and playoff Rascals games during the 2018 season. You are REQUIRED to broadcast all regular season games, and any remaining games should the team make the playoffs.

-Be responsible for the entirety of your program, including providing proper equipment and understanding the online format through CityLinkTV.com.

-Be an upstanding representative of the Rascals organization at home and on the road

-Travel with the team on all road trips, and be professional when interacting with players and coaches

-Act as a liaison between the local media and the Rascals during the season, reaching out to media partners to promote our games and extra events

-Strive to make contacts in the community that could lead to ticket or sponsorship sales for the Rascals organization

Qualifications:

-Previous experience in sports broadcasting is a MUST

-Ability to work all Rascals regular season and playoff games is required; no exceptions

-Provide all equipment necessary to produce online broadcast through CityLinkTV.com. Some equipment will be provided for you to produce the broadcast.

-Extensive knowledge of baseball

Stipend: You will receive a stipend in the form of $2,000 between May 1 and September 20

Meal Money: You will receive approximately $1,100 in meal money on road trips during the regular season. Meal money would be paid during playoff road games as well.

Corporate Partnership Activation Intern (Winter/Spring 2018) - River City Rascals (O'Fallon, MO)

Description:         

The River City Rascals Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, is currently seeking a Corporate Partnership Activation Intern for the 2018 season (January-May). This position will give the candidate an opportunity to gain valuable experience in professional sports and garner more responsibility than the normal internship. The Corporate Partnership Activation Intern will serve as a liaison between internal and external customers and provide administrative, organizational, and customer support for the River City Rascals corporate partnership staff.  This position will assist in the execution of sponsor promotions and contract fulfillment for the River City Rascals 20th anniversary season as well as the 2018 Frontier League All-Star Game and STL Legends Game.

Responsibilities:

·  Serve as liaison between external partners, such as cost effective vendors, and internal departments, including but not limited to: Marketing, Operations, Ticketing, Catering, etc. to fulfill contractual obligations

·  Develop and maintain strong working relationships with sponsor’s key decision makers to ensure complete satisfaction and contract renewal

·  Provide full-cycle management of sponsorship fulfillment, including tracking of deadlines, deliverables, and calendars

·  Assist in the bidding and ordering process of all branded materials, giveaways and collateral

·  Uncover new sales leads

·  Research and assist in the creative process of new sponsor inventory

·  Track and record data for analytics pertaining to sponsor for marketing proposals and proof of performance materials

·  Attend corporate sales events and sponsor promotions as required

·  Maintain professional, ethical, and company standards at all times

·  Perform other related duties as assigned

 
Qualifications:

· Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a clean driving record

· Track record of providing exceptional client service, preferably in a high profile environment

Ticket Sales Intern - Winter/Spring 2018 - River City Rascals (O'Fallon, MO)

The River City Rascals Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, are currently seeking Ticket Sales Interns for the 2018 season. This position will run from January through May and will be an integral part of the Rascals ticket sales department during the 2018 season.  This position will give the candidate an opportunity to gain valuable experience in professional sports and to garner more responsibility than the normal internship.

Responsibilities 

·         Administer superior customer service through the box office windows and phone lines.

·         Assist ticket sales staff members with sales responsibilities including sales calls, processing ticket
          orders, coordinating group events and birthdays.

·         Utilize TicketReturn and other resources in the creation of lead lists for new business prospecting.

·         Gain experience in making sales calls from generated lead lists.

·         Help to create and maintain a ticket sales database.

·         Represent the Rascals organization during community appearances and extra events at the stadium,
          including performing as the mascot.

·         Assist with Kids Club/Senior Sluggers/Reading programs for the 2018 season.

·         Take lead on a Rascals promotional theme night and assist with creatively developing new ways to
          boost attendance.

·         Manage a box office window during games and office hours.

·         Balance nightly game day ticket revenue.

·         Assist with all aspects of the Rascals overall season preparation and execution as needed.


Qualifications

Description:         

The River City Rascals Professional Baseball Team, a member of the Frontier League, are seeking enthusiastic and outgoing individuals to serve as Rascals Marketing/Communications Interns from January to May. Marketing/Communications Interns are responsible for representing the Rascals in a positive way at community appearances and during games in order to increase brand awareness. In addition, they will be involved with grassroots marketing initiatives to promote and recruit fans to attend River City Rascals games. Successful candidates will gain sales and marketing experience serving as the voice of the team at their respective event(s).

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the planning and execution of promotional theme nights, community programs and other events held at CarShield Field.

• Attend community events (including set up and tear down of display booths), hand out promotional materials, data collection, and escort mascot at appearances.

• Promote River City Rascals ticket packages by displaying and distributing marketing materials.

• Engage fans during games through t-shirt toss, Kids Club activity area, and on-field promotions.

• Attend weekly check in meeting with Director of Fan Engagement.

• Other duties as assigned.

 
Qualifications:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a clean driving record.

• Must be outgoing with a positive attitude.

• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

• Passionate about the River City Rascals and the sport of baseball.

Public Relations & Communications: Manage day to day duties to connect our organization with the local public and media outlets via press releases and feature stories.
Digital & Social Media: Assist with the creation, management, and execution of social media and newsletter campaigns.

Duties and Responsibilities
-Ability to write and present business proposals to prospective clients.
-Assess and research market competition in order to develop accurate and influential marketing plans.
-Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities including content development and management.
-Ensure an effective and professional image to customers and present an accurate portrayal of business strategies across all social media platforms.
-Analyze the effectiveness of online campaigns by collecting data and producing reports.
-Identify sales opportunities through networking and outreach within the local market.
