2017 Multimedia/Video Control Room Assistant - Florence Freedom (Florence, KY)

MULTIMEDIA/VIDEO CONTROL ROOM ASSISTANT – The Florence Freedom are seeking 6 video and multimedia interns to assist in producing the nightly live production on the video board at UC Health Stadium.

Job Duties:

  • Assisting our Technical Director in the production of the nightly show on the video board during games
  • Directly reports to the Florence Freedom Tech Director.
  • Operate CG graphics computer, replay or cameras during each baseball game.
  • Put together in-house commercials and promotional videos for video board and website use · Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro proficiency a plus.
  • Game-day only positions are non-paid internships are available for college credit eligible students.
  • Game-day non-paid internships are designed to allow the intern to take on a seasonal part time job outside of their Freedom commitments

Hours: Game Day only.  Report approximately 4 hours prior to game time and stay through the end of the game.  This internship does not have any non-game day responsibilities.

Communications/Public Relations: Media/Public Relations Servicing
Sports Information - Frontier League office - 6 month position - Frontier League office (Sauget, IL)

The Frontier League office is looking to fill a 6-month, entry level position for the 2017 season.  This position would work directly with the Deputy Commissioner and the media/public relations directors for our 12 teams. 

The ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate or a person who has completed their classwork and just needs an internship to graduate.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Daily updates of and league social media platforms

Verify the accuracy of team rosters

Serve as the liaison between teams and Pointstreak, our statistical provider

Verify the accuracy of box scores submitted by official scorers

Track game information each night (attendance, start of game, length of game, ejections)

Answer phones and process mail in the league office

Answer e-mail messages sent to our general account

Format the 2017 media guide and coordinate with the printing company

Coordinate registrations for the annual Frontier League Tryout Camp and Draft

On-site assistance in executing the Tryout Camp and Draft April 23-25, 2017 in Sauget, IL (St. Louis)

Organize the 2017 Frontier League Hall of Fame Class

On-site in executing the All-Star Game July 10-13, 2017 in Joliet, Illinois

Fill orders placed through the Frontier League's on-line store

Oversee voting for the mid-season All-Star Game and post-season awards

Communicate with team public relations directors and broadcasters regarding league events and milestones

Prepare press releases on significant league events

The ideal candidate will have experience with a computerized official scoring program, have basic webpage formatting skills, and have writing experience.  The candidate should have access to housing in the metro St. Louis area.  Night and weekend availability is required.  Candidates must have completed at least three years of college classwork.  Through early May the majority of the work will occur duirng the day. Once the regular season begins, most work will take place on afternoons and evenings.  The majority of work can be done remotely. 

This position will run through Saturday, September 30.  Along with arranging for college credit, a monthly stipend is available.

We are seeking a Graphics Design Intern to join our team from May-September for an internship opportunity. We're looking for an up-and-coming graphic designer with a well-balanced left-and right-brain to work closely with our Manager of Corporate Sales to assist with creative projects. 


  • Designing content for social media, website, marketing and advertising material
  • Designing print and digital advertising material
  • Designing promotional posters and flyers
  • Plan and design infographics 
  • Designing necessary graphics to support marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent styling vision and to reflect our brand aesthetic


  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including: Photoshop, Illustator, After Effects & In Design
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly motivated with strong work ethic
  • Passion for sports and strong desire to work in a team environment that fosters creativity, fun and energy

- Lead the Creative Services staff to execute both internal and external company print, graphic, animation, video, and presentation projects. All projects should be delivered at a high quality and meet the identified goals and expectations.
-Represent the creative services division where required during company meetings including marketing campaign discussions, ticket sales and partnerships strategy sessions, arena branding and production meetings, community relations planning sessions, season ticket services planning sessions, and ticket operations creative needs meetings
- Assist in the development of sales and brand campaigns
- Build and manage the Creative Services budget
- Manage and train all Press box part time employees including PA Announcer, Musical Director, and video production and editing employees
- Actively participate as a graphic designer and execute projects throughout the business year
- Present concepts and completed projects for approval
- Oversee daily game day production of in game "show" in the press box
- Work in chorus with the Promotions and Community Outreach Manager with execution of in game presentation
- Write and produce all PA Scripts
- Be able to work the video board for promotions, sponsors and added fun to each game.
- Work with the Director of Corporate Sales to create custom in game promotions for sponsors and make sure all Video sponsored elements are included in game night presentations
-Create all in game video board slides and other sponsored materials.
- Update, maintain and organize game night music computer
- Capture all video highlight and prepare them for viewing on YouTube
- contribute content to teams official media/game program
- Assist with staffing special team events and player appearances
- Technical director of live baseball events and others at the stadium

A strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Dreamweaver, Final Cut Pro, Quark Express and/or related programs is a must.
