2017 Multimedia/Video Control Room Assistant - Florence Freedom (Florence, KY)

MULTIMEDIA/VIDEO CONTROL ROOM ASSISTANT – The Florence Freedom are seeking 6 video and multimedia interns to assist in producing the nightly live production on the video board at UC Health Stadium.

Job Duties:

  • Assisting our Technical Director in the production of the nightly show on the video board during games
  • Directly reports to the Florence Freedom Tech Director.
  • Operate CG graphics computer, replay or cameras during each baseball game.
  • Put together in-house commercials and promotional videos for video board and website use · Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro proficiency a plus.
  • Game-day only positions are non-paid internships are available for college credit eligible students.
  • Game-day non-paid internships are designed to allow the intern to take on a seasonal part time job outside of their Freedom commitments

Hours: Game Day only.  Report approximately 4 hours prior to game time and stay through the end of the game.  This internship does not have any non-game day responsibilities.

Communications/Public Relations: Media/Public Relations Servicing
Public Relations & Communications Internship- Summer 2017 - Joliet Slammers (Joliet, IL)

We are seeking a Public Relations & Communications Intern to join our team from May-September for an internship opportunity. We're looking for a creative individual, with a strong writing background to work closely with our Manager of Marketing and Promotions to assist with creative projects. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Writing press releases
  • Working with local media
  • Updating website content
  • Making and distributing press credentials for the all-star game
  • Updating current media contacts
  • Creating flyers
  • Creating bi-weekly newsletters
  • Creating and generating weekly email updates
  • Maintaining current media portfolio
  • Writing content for any Slammers' related news
  • Assist the Manager of Marketing and Promotions to track Slammers' outreach 
  • Attending all home games and assisting with duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Posses strong written and verbal communication
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of media and media outlets: print, digital and broadcast
  • Strong knowledge of AP style of writing
  • Highly motivated with strong work ethic
  • Passion for sports and strong desire to work in a team environment that fosters creativity, fun and energy
  • Can work both individually and in a team setting
  • Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited university
  • Must be able to earn college credit for internship

We are seeking a Social Media Intern to join our team from May-September for an internship opportunity, with a specific emphasis on being involved in our 2017 All-Star Game. We're looking for a creative individual, with experience in managing multiple social media platforms that will work with our Manager of Marketing and Promotions to assist with creative projects. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain and update all Slammers' social platforms on a day-to-day basis
  • Pre-schedule weekly content
  • Preform research in popular trends
  • Create and execute social media contests and promotions
  • Assist in updating and editing content on Slammers' website 
  • Develop content related to current events and trending topics as relevant to the Slammers' brand
  • Monitor fan sentiment and identify ways to increase reach and engagement
  • Assist in the creation and updating of a social media content calendar
  • Attend all home games during the summer of 2017
  • Use all social media platforms to engage and update fans during games

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of multiple social media tools
